Directions from the South. Travelling on the A1/A68
Travelling from the South leave the A1 at the junction for the A68 (signposted Piercebridge). Follow the A68 and directions for Corbridge. Once you have come through the village of Castleside (County Durham) continue for almost four miles (you cross the border from Durham into Northumberland). On your left hand side, set back off the road, you will pass a pub called The Manor House. A short distance past this pub (approx half a mile) take the left turn signposted Slaley, leaving the A68.
Continue on this rural road until you have come through Slaley Village and arrived at the road junction at the far end of the village. (Approximately 3 or 4 miles from leaving the A68). Turn right and continue until you pass The Traveller's Rest Pub (about a mile) on your right - travel a further 500 yds then take the left turn signposted Dukesfield, Juniper and Whitley Chapel. After about a mile the road takes a right hand bend, down a dip and up the other side. At the top of this bank take the right turn signposted Juniper and Hexham. After about half a mile you will see the Juniper sign on your left, as you turn around the bend Peth Head Cottage is facing you. There is an old stone stable on the roadside with two strips of concrete to the side. Follow the concrete strips - after about fifty yards turn right into one of the two parking bays at the rear of Peth Head Cottage (do not cross the cattle grid).

Hexham is located
on the A69 between Newcastle on Tyne (A1) to the East and Carlisle (M6) to the West. Hexham is approximately 21 miles from Newcastle and 40 miles from Carlisle.
Directions from Hexham
Travel into the main town centre area called Priestpopple, then take the B6306 travelling South out of Hexham, known locally as 'Eastgate' turning, between Boots Pharmacy and the Tap and Spile pub. After 500 metres take the obvious right fork., signed Juniper and Whitley Chapel. The hill is climbed for a further 500 metres then take the first left turn which is signposted ORDLEY, JUNIPER, DYE HOUSE. Follow this road for some three and a half miles to Juniper Village.

Peth Head Cottage
is the last detached stone house on the right before a tight 'S' bend. Turn sharp right up a narrow lane (small stable building on the roadside) following two strips of concrete until you can turn right after 30 metres to park at the rear of the house - do not cross the cattle grid. A warm welcome awaits you.
